It uses a laparoscope, a long narrow lighted tube with a camera attached, which eliminates the need for a long incision created to provide a clear view of the surgical site. Instead small incisions are made over the surgical site to allow the insertion of the laparoscope and other small surgical instruments. The camera at the end of the laparoscope provides a clear magnified view of the surgical site for your surgeon to view on a large monitor.
