Private Health Insurance

Private Health Insurance allows you and your family to access the right health services at the right time. You have control of your health care and can choose the provider, facility and timing of your treatment. With the security and protection of private health insurance, you have access to an extensive range of private hospitals and can rest assured that your health is in good hands.

Depending on your level of cover, some health funds also require you to pay an excess to cover your hospital accommodation. This reduces the cost of your monthly premium. We are not responsible for these costs but our staff will do their utmost to guide you to reach a better understanding. Also note there are other providers involved in your hospital care such as anaesthetists and assistants.

Our practice accepts all private health insurance policies. We participate in the known gap program for all insurance companies. This means you will not be billed for the full cost of your surgery directly, our practice makes the claim on your behalf. This gives you peace of mind that your treatment fee will be fully covered by your insurer aside from a small co-payment which is discussed with you at the time of booking your surgery and given to you in a document known as informed financial consent. We understand the sacrifice made by patients to pay private health insurance and strive to keep gap payments to a minimum whilst providing an exceptional level of individualised care. Co-payments vary depending on your surgery and your circumstances but never exceed $500 and are usually much less.
